pssessive pronouns and adjectives

Which of the 2 sentences is correct?

"These books are my and my friends"

or

"These books are mine and my friends"

Neither, since you don t have a possessive form for "friends".

These books are mine and my friends .
Just imagine the sentence without each of the people, then combine them:

These books are mine. These books are my friends .
These books are mine and my friends .

It s easier to say "These books belong to my friends and me".

Yes, I know about the possessive of friends, the word I wasn t sure about is "my/mine".

The thing is that my friend s teacher told her that the first sentence (my and my friends ) was correct. I thought it wasn t, but wanted to make sure.
Thank you Bruce. Now it s clear
