Don 愒 get into stew ???

Hi,
With my class we were looking at the song from the old 寓ungle animation movie. Loui, King of the apes sings to Maugli:

Don 愒 try to kid me, mancub
And don 愒 get into stew.
What I desire is man 愀 red fire
So I can be like you.

Could you explain what exactly 悲on 愒 get into stew means?

Thank you in advance.

Another good one is: 媛on 愒 get your knickers in a twist, which means, 媛on 愒 get yourself into a stew.

The idea, I believe, is that your thoughts are in a stew--if you have ever made stew, you know how it is a boiling, chaotic jumble of different things that don愒 seem to belong together--they are chaotic, confused and slowly coming to a boiling point.

The AE version of "twisted knickers" is: "Don愒 get your panties in a bunch."

Cheers,
Douglas
