When I teach English, I try to relate to our native culture and, when it is possible, show my ss the similarities in the cultures of the English-speaking countries and our own, draw parallels, so to speak. We also address the unique features and diversities and tell our ss that learning cultures helps us understand people better and understand how they see us. Sophia
