Please advise the pronounciation of the word aunt is it a:nt or like ant as I searched the net some say ant and some say both ,please advise which is familiar as native speakers. Thanks for your help |

The standard English is the longer sound �a:nt �, which you will hear in the South. However, Northerners say �ant � and that �s how I teach it. |
