at the moment or at this moment?

Hi!

Ive got a question about the expression in the title above.

In an exercise to check mistakes the sentence to correct is

" Ive got plenty of time at this moment, so we can have dinner together, if you like"

According to the key "At this moment" is not correct. It should be "at the moment"

Why??

Thanks in advance

I think the difference is that "at this moment" is another way of saying "at this precise moment" of speaking, like "right now" not 15 minutes later. Whereas "at the moment" can be a bit more general.

You could maybe say ... at this very moment, I have plenty of time, so lets go out ...
whereas at the moment, I have plenty of time (like nothing special to do), can also mean lets go out for dinner this evening.
