I have just started to use this platform this year and I highly recommend it. It allows you to have your students in groups, upload documents for them and keep in touch. I still don �t know all its possibilities but I think it �s a wonderful resource.
You register as a teacher and your students join their group and can download the materials you select for them or ask you questions.

Thanks! I didn �t know this one. I have been using MOODLE platform for 4 years with my students. Besides the extra worksheets and information we also have two forums, one to deal with students � doubts/difficulties and another to chat about the topics studied in class. Check http://moodle.com/ to learn more about it.
