"Cork forests (...) rank among the top biodiversity hotspots in the Mediterranean and Europe". This is the opening line of "If trees go, so do animals" in the "The facts" section that you can find in This website is the result of cooperation between an environmental organization and a producer of cork and shows how important cork trees are, how ecological cork is. But before looking at the section I pinpointed, watching the video that appears right at the beginning would probably be a good idea - it introduces a celebrity who adopts this cause (he argues something like "All Hollywood celebrities have a cause, so now I �ve got mine as well"), and does it in a very good mood.
