In my family, we use this word for
the little furry balls of hairs, dust and, excuse my admitting so, dirt
that you find under beds in rooms that haven t been cleaned for a while or that are inhabited by teenage children who consider the space under their beds to be something .... very special ... or valuable storing place.
Cattywampi (that s the learned plural of this beautiful word, ladies and gentlemen) do not come alone, they frequently have neighbours under teenager s beds. Here are some of the most common neighbours:
- lonely and smelly left socks - crumpled physics or English tests with mediocre or bad results - bread crusts - dog-eared comics - photos or pictures cut out of magazines.
But I m digressing ....

anamia, I respectfully disagree. The picture is not of a cat, but a rabbit. To be more, specific, Jessica Rabbit from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? She is Roger Rabbit s wife.
This is a much better example: Catwoman! |
