IT help please

I have to teach these three IT units to ESL pupils:
1.  Operate a computer
2.  Use internet and e-mail
3.  Create simple word processed douments
+
Keyboard skills - to type 40wpm by course end date

I want to use free online sites that pupils can also access at home.  There are many of these around but I really want to know which ones of these are really really good (effective, user friendly, no pop ups or annoying ads, and so forth)

If you have taught these units I would really be grateful if you can give me your recommendations of your best sites.

Hi,
The best online typing course is http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/
My students really likes this one, and yes, many managed to get to the 40 wpm.

For all things IT you may visit http://www.gcflearnfree.org/topics
An american site, but with clear explanations.
Not for the youngest ss, but definately worthwhile a visit if only for ideas.
Both sites come without the annoying ads etcetera.

I have the luxury of a Interactive Whiteboard.
My students learned to use computers simply by watching me and of course by being interactice themselves.  The do=as=i-do principle works very well for them (and me).

I don t have units readily available, but this will get you started.
Cheers
Peter
