							| yeti, I would suggest starting with a review of the verbs (have to, need to, want to, etc.) that use this form. It should be fairly easy after that.   Afterwards, you could have a speaking or writing activity of "What would you like to have accomplished by the end of the year/by the time you re 20 years old/etc.?"   Bruce | 17 Dec 2012

							| I just realized that the construction parallels that of the future perfect, so you could teach them together (if you teach the future perfect).   By the end of the year, I will have visited 15 countries. By the end of the year, I want to have visited 15 countries.   By June, I need to have covered the entire textbook. By June, I will have covered the entire textbook.   I want to have cleaned the house when (or "by the time") my sister arrives. I will have cleaned the house when (or "by the time") my sister arrives.   Bruce | 17 Dec 2012
