Hello, I have a question about superlatives... Yo can say "This is the richest man in the world". But can you say "This man is the richest in the world"? Thanks in advance :)

As far as i know, adjectives should never be used alone in english. They should always (there are always some exceptions, of course) be followed by a noun. So, you could say: This man is the richest ONE
in the world.

I disagree with mjpa... you can say "I �m the tallest in my class" so why not "he �s the richest in the world"???
