I have the standard version and use the sprite (image) editor for large images that I use to edit images.  It is pretty handy as I use a project to save my pngs.  The image editor is well worth trying out and you can take an animated gif and change the colors, add images, reduce or increase the size of the images to fit your needs.  After saving each picture as a png, you will have to use an animation maker to redo the animation (powerpoint, 10 frames per second).   The application will not allow you to make a windows based application, only a MIPs Android application and a windows test version can be made with it.

  Last year they offered the windows 8 version for free and I missed the opportunity as I have some games made with gamemaker that I wanted to convert to windows 8. They did the same with the flash HTML 5 version and I also missed the opportunity.   Anyway, if the MIPS Android takes off, you will be able to post ESL games on the MIPS apps store.
