I have the whole set and I highly recommend them! Wonderful tool for teaching English through culture and history.
Did you know that the whole set is realesed on DVDs ?
 
I have read Horrible History of Scotland/ Ireland/ Wales/ England/ America- they are a great source of info on those countries - funny and accessible for young learners!

I bought some of them when I was in London - they are not for smaller children because of the vocabulary, humor and subject matter.

The high school kids like them.
