Hi everybody ! Is it correct to say : He has often taken me to the zoo at the weekend but last weekend he didn �t take me, he had a cold Where is Tom ? He (go ) has gone to the swimming pool or he went to the swimming pool. Whene did he go there ? Thanks a lot for your answer Nicole |

Hello Nicole, I would say:He has often taken me to the zoo at the weekend but last weekend he didn �t/couldn �t take me there because he had a cold. Tom has gone to the swimming-pool.(it means he is still there) When did he go there? I hope it helps Titine |

Hi Nicole.
I would say: He often takes me to the zoo on weekends, but last weekend he didn�t take me.
If you use the word "often", it gives the idea of a habit, so it�s better to use the simple present.

Thanks a lot for your answer ! These sentences didn �t sound to me good but I found them in an exercise. I have changed them He has taken me to the zoo a few times but last weekend he didn �t take me because he had a cold. Thank you for your help |
