Clip art works great with kids, but I�ve often felt that adults want something more... well adult-like. So I often pull pictures, which I then resize, for many of my lessons.  You can also use pictures to speculate, tell stories, ask and answer questions, or for a general discussion in a warm up.  I often use pictures from the following sites:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/clipart/default.aspx

 

Both offer royalty free, stock photography. I hope this helps!
