Help needed with meaning.

What does "moderately successful" mean?
Is the meaning positive or negative? If a student is "moderately successful" is he/she nearer to very successful or merely just passed?
Thanks in advance.

I would say that Moderately Successful is not negative. It s a success, but a small to medium one. Extremely successful would be a large success.

Hello I agree with both submissions. Moderate can be taken to mean to a medium extent and implies within reasonable limits. It occurs somewhere between extremes (just passing and getting 100%). I would think that moderately successful is not negative but mid-range in terms of marks. Have a great day! |
