Hello, Iï¿½m just having a look at the lyrics of a song by One Direction and canï¿½t understand why in the first verse the word head is in plural? Could anybody explain that to me please? Thank you.

You ï¿½re insecure,
Don ï¿½t know what for,
You ï¿½re turning heads when you walk through the door

When a girl is pretty, boys will turn their heads to look at her. So, in the song "You ï¿½re turning heads" means the boys are turning their heads to look at this girl.

To add just a little to Esther ï¿½s excellent answer, it doesn ï¿½t have to be a boy-girl thing. To turn heads means to cause people to look at you because you look so good.
