Looking for a place to rent in London

Hi
My family and I (husband and me and our 2 daughters) have decided to go to London next summer and we are looking for a place to rent for a week between 29 July and 5 August. These dates are flexible . Places to rent are soooo expensive in London (around �1,000 a week), I thought that maybe one of you would know a place at a better price. Any advice welcomed :)

Airbnb is definitely the best way to find nice and cheap accomodation int the UK, and everywhere else in the world. I satayed in London, Edinburgh, Budapest, in Airbnb flats/rooms, and it was perfect each time. I do recommend the site!
