Word of the day
|
Thank you Ed for choosing my definition.
Here is a new word for the game.
Remember, the idea is to give an alternative meaning for the word, not the real one (we can all look it up in case we don t know it already).
Just let your associations roam free. The idea is simply to have a laugh, to play with words, and to have some fun.
Anything that comes to mind goes: silly, smart, profound, banal...whatever - just give it a go, the more the merrier!

Vituperative is a trade mark for the operative system that the Vitu Islands inhabitants use in their computers and laptops.
The vituperative operative system is cheaper than Windows, so the benefits of using it are remarkable.

VI: a type of UNIX text editor
TUP: totally useless post
-perative: a suffix meaning commanded, a back formation of "imperative"
So vituperative is an adjective describing UNIX developers whose bosses tell them to post advertisements for VI on computer programming websites. |

Sarguero, I was writing my post at the same time you were. Is it possible that the Vitu Islands operating system is another variety of UNIX? If so, maybe our definitions are compatible. If not, well, there s always iOS or Android... |

Absolutely compatible Moody, so, there s no future for Bill Gates at Vitu Islands.
