Are both sentences correct?

"Which floor is the kitchen?" 
"Which floor is the kitchen on?"

" On which floor is the kitchen?"

The first question indicates that the entire floor is the kitchen. 
 
Whereas the second indicates the kitchen is located on that floor.

One can also say "On which floor is the kitchen?". With this one the meaning could be either of the ones Douglas mentioned. Ed
