About the word for a project

Hello, everyone! Students in their last year of the major that are doing their teaching practicum need to develop and submit a project. I need to find the right word to call it. In Spanish we say "proyecto de extension." I know an outreach proyect is broader than what they have to do. It implies an involvement of the community and working with them. This is narrower. The senior students just develop it in a two-week period and their contribution must be something academic: workshops, designing material, etc. They give their contribution to the institution that facilitated them the groups for the practicum. How can I call it this "Projecto de Extension" in English? Is there a word for it? Thanks in advance!!!

If they are giving it to the institition that hosted them for their practicum, as a thank you, maybe you could call it a Thank you project. Not that I have ever heard this before in the context of a practicum, but I just thought it sounded good as a thank you, if that is its purpose.
But you could also call it an Extension Project. That is perfectly fine.
Cheers
