Yellow flour

Could anyone (if there is anyone working today!) tell me the meaning of "yellow flour"? It s in a recipe, a proficiency book and it tells the steps to follow to cook "Fried Mars bars". It says " Smother the Mars bar in a batter of yellow flour, water and seasonings " ... I looked it up but couldn t find what kind of flour it is ! Thanks a lot!

Yellow Flour is the product prepared from grain of durum wheat by grinding or milling processes in which the bran and germ are essentially removed and the remainder is comminuted to a suitable degree of fineness.

Could it be flour made out of corn only?

Yellow flour usually means flour made from corn (maize) but it is different to cornmeal.
Sometimes it is also a special flour made from yellow split peas or semolina.

Cornmeal is more common for frying. Semolina flour is usually used for making pasta.
