Hello,
I fInd it quite difficult to advise you some movies. However, when I want tO work on a movie, I try to pay attention to what the kids are particularly interested in. So far I ve already worked with:
1) Nanny Mc Phee
2) Nim s Island
3) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Each time  the children seemed to be interested.
Hope it helps you.

Hello,
why dont you try the following ones? They all work ver well with young students.
-Toy Story
-Shrek
- Bend it Like Beckam
-Mamma Mia
-Karate Kid

"The Goonies"
"Matilda"
my kids really liked "Parenthood" at that age
The "Back to the Future" trilogy
"Billy Madison"
"Mr Deeds"

(These are all older movies that the kids probbaly haven t seen yet, but they are pretty much timeless.)

A couple more:
"Blast From the Past"
"George of the Jungle"
"Bring it On" ("Girls United" in Europe)
"50 First Dates"
"My Girl"  (very sad)
"The Breakfast Club" (a LOT of dialogue--may be difficult, but deals with many teen issues)

I also agree with:
"Karate Kid"
"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (with Gene Wilder)
"Nanny McPhee"

This list also has some great suggestions:

"The Sandlot". Great film for teenagers with a lot of American culture in it. Sorry, I don t have any activities about it.

It depends a lot on:
what kind of topics you are working with.
Do you want to focus on American or British English?
What level are the pupils?
and much more!

I personally have used Billy Elliot, Rabbit proof fence, the Full Monty, Grease, Bend it like Beckham, The muppet s Treasure Island, Horrid Henry the movie.

I have also used the TV series Friends.

Hope that gives you some inspiration
