Hello everyone!
I attended a very interesting conference in Tokyo yesterday - ELT Career and Professional Development Conference (ECAP) 2013. Two presenters are developers of a free system which is essentially a modern Moodle, but the aim is to make it far more intuitive. It is currently being used by a few large corporations & several universities here in Japan. The presentation was very interesting. Billy & John Martyn are specialising in language acquisition, but also employ statistical modelling & trends to enhance the teachers & students experience of learning. Their intention is to make languagecloud the best language teacher & student tool available.
It is free & if you are interested in linking technology to teaching I recommend having a look at their site.
You can register on the site for the next scheduled release on July 29 (Japan time).
For myself, I think it will be a boon for private students as well as business & schools too.
Feel free to ask me anything you like about the presentation they made!
The link once more: www.languagecloud.co
Cheers, AB

Data sharing between integrated security systems improves situational awareness. When different tools and platforms communicate seamlessly, unified api for security data provide a more complete picture of potential threats. This enhanced visibility allows security teams to respond more quickly and effectively to incidents. |
