what do you call in English when sb that wants to sell their house lets everyone interested come and see it? What about viewing the house?

The prospective buyers are viewing the house. The seller is showing the house. If the people are all invited on a specific date, it is called an "open house".

Where I live:

For sales, we call it a "home open"

We �re going to three home opens tomorrow

The home open is between 3 and 4

The house is open for inspection between 3pm and 4pm

For rentals, we say "open for viewing" and "open for inspection"

I have booked a viewing at 2pm on Saturday.

The house is open for viewing between 3 and 4

We are going to three open for inspections tomorrow

My husband and I have been in real estate for over 40 years and to my knowledge it is called �an open home" which can be conducted by an agent or the seller. We also use �open for inspection � and �open for viewing � for sales and rentals.

eg: I �m busy this weekend. I �m doing three open homes on Saturday.
