We look at the negative statement or the negative word (i.e didn �t/no etc).

You don �t need to be an expert to sort out such things. All you need is a good grammar reference.

P.S. You look for negation in the sentence, i.e. didn �t/don �t/can �t/ hasn �t/wasn �t, etc. then you use neither/nor+auxilary/modal

Q2:  I went to a movie, not for a movie.  Also, it would be "to a movie" or "to the movies", not "to the movie", unless the conversation was already about a specific movie.
