I came accross these two questions and I really have no idea which one is correct.1. Which statement is correct? a. teachers learn students quickly to do their homework. b. teachers quickly learn children to do theri homerwork. c. to do their homework teachers quickly learn children d. children quickly learn teachers to to their homework.
2. You cannot fail to obey it. You can �t_______to do this. a. refuse b. deny c. resist d. withdraw

In number 1, none of the statements is correct! Teachers teach students; students learn from teachers. A correct sentence that conveys the message is "Teachers teach students to do their homework quickly." The adverb "quickly" here modifies the infinitive "to do"; the students do homework quickly. You could also say "Teachers quickly teach students to do their homework." In this case, the teaching is quick.
In number 2, the correct answer is a. refuse. It is the only verb in this set that uses "to" after it. |

Perhaps B was supposed to be: teachers quickly learn children do[not to do] theri homerwork.
