G.H. Wells is well known for his novel War of the Worlds. But he wrote many interesting short stories too. One of the most interesting ones is called The Empire of the Ants. I took the story and simplified it for upper-intermediate learners.
The Czech author Otakar Batlicka during his life wrote many short stories for teenagers and some of them are very interesting even today. Here is one of them. It is called Live River and it has been simplified for intermediate learners.
The most difficult task, in my opinion is to write interesting stories for elementary students. Here is one of my trials. I hope you will like it.
