Is it correct to say "I agree with the article"? It sounds incorrect to me.

If you say, "I agree with the article," it generally means that you agree with the contents of an article you just read. It isn �t incorrect to say that. If you don �t like that, try "I agree with the author �s statements," or other words to that effect. |

This is entirely correct, though it does sound a little abrupt and terse. This sort of format is one that seems to invite a continuation of the sentence such as "I agree with the article, but... " and then you point out the negative aspects you wish to highlight. If you totally agree with the article then you should probably add some adverbs and adjectives to express your opinion such as "I totally agree with the article which was well written and expressed the ideas in a colourful and interesting manner." |
