hello plz help me
what are the rules of forming compound adjectives ??
a four-legged chick 
a hard-working teacher.
what is the rule here ???

I wish u understand what I mean because it �s confusing  I don �t know how to make young  kids understand it ,

ok i will try to help, concerning the first one: a four - legged chick, the rule here is number- noun, since leg is a noun, but a suffixal morpheme here is used (ed) which is commonly used.
a hard-working teacher, the rule here is adjective-present participle ( verb in the ING form)
