It depends on the context. Females is very broad, even including plants. I would use female for non-human, women for adult human females (although ladies could be used), and girls for child and teen-aged human females. There are numerous derogatory terms for females as well. We also have special terms for the females of many species. I hope this answers your question because I �m not certain exactly what you meant. |
