HELP!!!!!!!! TENNIS vocabulary

Please, help me!!!!! Is there a technical or specific word to name when players during a set are having exactly the same points? (I dont mean "draw" or equal).
Not when theyve finished the match but when they are still playing.
I dont know much about tennis and Ive looked for it but I havent found anything.
There must be someone here who watched the Australian Open and heard this word (a student asked me about it).

Thanks very much for your help, dear colleagues!!!!!! Hug

Deuce.  I believe Love is for no point like love -15 for example.

Often you will hear "its 6 games all in the 4th set. Now theyll play a tie-break(er)."

Is that the sort of thing you mean?

Youre right aftab - love means no points.

I remember that the correct word for that situation is "deuce" but I may be wrong
"Love" is a score of zero like it was 40 love

exiliser - deuce is correct in some situations - it comes at 40 all. the next point is advantage server/receiver & then its either game or deuce again.

My posts are jumping around again!!! Damn that ghost of Cheezels!

to paraphrase once more:

Often you will hear "its 6 games all in the 4th set. Now theyll play a tie-break(er)."
It may also be described as tied at x games /x sets all

love = no points

deuce is correct in some situations - it comes at 40 all. the next point is advantage server or receiver & then its either game or deuce again.

"Deuce" indicates both players have a score of 40

The link below shows a nice chart of terms if you scan down a bit.

Here is another site with the rules and, as a bonus for ESL teachers, a tennis quiz your students may want to do if they have been following the Australian Open.
