Dear friends,

Can I say persuade him or her to do something?

Is it correct?
Thanks in advance.

Hello!
There are two possible ways:
-persuade someone into doing something --and
-persuade someone to do something.
The 1st variant is more common.
Yours,
Maria

From the American point of view:

Yes you can persuade someone to do something.

I wouldnt say persuade someone into doing something.  Rather, Id talk someone into doing something.
