It is the LF ( Logical Form) that presupposes the PF( Phonological Form) not vice versa. in other words any semantic representation is present in the child �s mind before it �s phonetic transcription. I don �t know if this true for second language learning and/ or acquisition. but as far as first language acq is concerned moroccan children were able to master the meaning of a given LF sentence before it �s PF The F-features are boost-strapped and P-features are mastered only later.
