Dear colleagues: Some of my students asked me if there are any chatting websites in English to practise their English. Thank you. |

I don t know, but they may try with blogs, because they are about diverse topics, and some of them include a chat service. For example, as a Formula 1 fan, I blog on f1fanatic.co.uk, and there you can exchange messages about this sport. There are music blogs, sports, showbiz, etc. GOod luck and I hope I ve helped you at least a bit. |

there are a lot of chat sites in the Internet, specially in the sites which help learning languages, such as livemocha, busuu.com.They also have posibility of video and audio talks, but the problem is children are not protected to meet bad people there and some messages can be not for children. It s better for your students to find friends from schools of other countries with your help. How old are your students? |

My students absolutely love http://www.eslfast.com/robot/english_tutor.htm
It s a computer that allows them to type to him and hear responses. It s obviously not exactly the same as talking to a real person; but it s safe, and the kids think it s funny. |
