Thank you anaram for choosing my definition. The new word is: GYMNASIARCHY Waiting for your misleading and creative definitions. Rules of the game: - Don t use the word entry of a dictionary. - let your imagination go and interpret it the way you like. - Remember: the wittier and funnier your definition is, the likelier you are to be the winner. Have fun and good luck! |

GYMNASIARCHY - a new scientific branch of archeology, which is put into practice only when they build gymnasiums and digging deep into the ground takes place. In most cases town halls choose a place for a sports hall where the builders must call archeologists to help them dig out many artefacts. As the builders are simple men, they started calling this procedure "gymnasiarchy" which gradually became also a popular term among the scientists. |

Anarchy at the gym!!
GYMNASIARCHY is a relatively new term for those people who do not seem to fit in in the gym. GYMNASIARCHISTS come in all shapes and sizes, from the ones who simply cannot keep time and will always have their left arm up when the rest raises right, to those using the gym equipment in an alternative fashion. A true GYMNASIARCHISTS is not the beginner trying to fit in, but rather the one who has given up on fitting in and feeliing OK with it.
an inspiring case of GYMNASIARCHY:

With all due apologies to isa2, she has the word exactly wrong. It isn t about anarchy in gymnasia; it s about hierarchy in gymnasia. It is the pecking order that most gymnasia have when determining who gets to use the most desirable equipment first and longest. It s usually someone like this:
MarionG s picture shows someone who is very low in the gymnasiarchy. |

gym- a place to workout
nasi- nasal, having to do with the nose
archy- kind of arch formed
gymnasiarchy describes that view you get at the gym when someone is struggling to benchpress a large weight and have their backs arched and are pushing hard and you can see up thier nose.
Cheers,
