2014 - twenty fourteen .... or ... 2014 - two thousand fourteen
2,014 - two thousand and fourteen 20:14 - twenty fourteen (Am Eng) = fourteen past eight p.m. = fourteen past eight in the afternoon
1989 - nineteen eighty nine (you may omit "and") 1,989 - one thousand nine hundred AND eighty nine 19:39 - nineteen thirty-nine = twenty-one to eight p.m. = twenty one to eight in the afternoon
