THE LONGEST WORD IN ENGLISH
|
I thought I knew the longest word in English "antidisestablishmentarianisms", a word that has got 29 letters, until I have come across another one today which has 44 letters. The word is Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. Just learn how to pronounce it to teach it to your students.

What a mouthful huh? I think it refers to a medical condition where the recipient suffers from acute boredom or uneasiness and a feeling of waning to depart quickly. It can be transfered through sound waves into the ears. Mere pronunciation of this word is enough to contract the condition. But well done to nasreddine for finding it- you learn something everyday. This is my word of the day response, as Lynne suggested.
