It �s a nettle elixir-glass. If you grasp it firmly, it won �t sting and you get to taste the delicious elixir. If you are tentative, you get a nasty sting and the elixir turns sour.
These are very popular at dinner parties in Sweden, where they have no real entertainment:-)
