It �s all very self-explanatory really. The more common logtobatist (log-to-bat-ist) is the crafty chap who fashions logs into baseball bats for our sporting pleasure. The lesser known battologist (bat-to-log-ist)reverses the process, whittling and distressing old unwanted baseball bats to return them to a more natural loglike state. These logs are then used to make small log cabins for batboys and others of similar stature.

As "batto" sounds to me like the Word "bata" in Spanish (loose garment worn at home ) I dare say a "battologist" is a couch potato , always watching TV , not caring for anything else , just sitting back on a sofa and relaxing all day long!!!
