Dear colleages
I am teaching 2 session in a week to 3 years old students, but I do not have any resources, could you tell me where I can find didactic units in english for 3 years old? web sites where I can find information? Games and activities to teach them.
I am a little lost and very worried with those students that are so young.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
When I taught so Young children I used songs, toys, big flashcards naming what was on. Make them repeat and repeat. Use puppets telling a short story with simple words.
For colors gather all the items you can naming the color and what you have in hands. Use books with big pictures and make them repeat, repeat and repeat. You can make an action and name it.
There are poems like Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear turn around and going on with clap your hands and so on. Make them mimic you.
Here is my modest experience !
Hope you find it useful.
Hugs.

Hello, Piedad,I hope it is useful: you can use flashcards games: whisper the name of the card and they have to pick it up, put the cards in order (they reorder the cards you have laid beforehand), What card is missing, hide the cards behind you and they guess it (show the card slowly),what am I? game(stick one card on the student back and the other children give clues), true or false game (you say: "this is a pencil" and they guess if it is true or false. Make two copies of small cards and lay them and play a memory game. Talk about the flash (color, size,...), you can put the card on a chair, under, beside, between, using prepositions. Give them one card and say commands ( stand up who s got a crayon,...). I usually make some questions at the beginning of the class, What s the weather like?, what day is it?, what did you eat?, what are you wearing? ,... |
