The right word

Dear colleagues,
Here is an example I do not know whether to accept the word as correct or not:
...She appeared in an advertising campaign, showing her dangerously STARVED body..........
I expected words such as : skinny /thin/bony. I checked the expressions with starved on the net, however, I can-t make a decision whether this is correct or not. Can you help me, please?
Thank you so much for your help.

I would accept the word starved in this context. Many models have anorexia, a disorder in which the patient generally eats very little. A few models have died from anorexia. In fact, I would be impressed with this student s logical progression. |

I agree with MoodyMoody. Using "starved" indicates the process that led to the skinny condition.
