Veteran īs and Remembrance Day
 
November 11 is coming up so I thought it would be good to have some lesson plans and activities prepared to teach my students about the military and their importance in the world. We usually use this day to honor all those who have served and those who are still serving their countries proudly. 

Here is a website with some good worksheets and letter templates designed for Pre-K - Elementary students.

A great idea for class would be to have young learners write a "Thank You" letter to a veteran or write why they are thankful for the service they do each day.
