I wrote this poem for you Spring Spring is warm The grass turns green
The trees sprout buds That will grow into leaves
In March winds blow April has showers And May brings flowers
The flowers grow There s no more snow
The sun shines on the plants below.

I wrote this poem for you. Winter Winter is cold. You ll need a coat.
A hat will keep your head warm. Gloves will keep your fingers from freezing.
Boots will keep your feet warm and dry. A scarf will protect your neck.
Now you are ready to play in the snow. Off you go.
Build a snowman, Sled down a hill.
Skate on the ice. Have a snowball fight.
Then come inside. To sit by the fire.
And drink as much hot chocolate. As you desire.

I wrote this poem for you.
Summer Summer is hot. Drink water--a lot.
Use sun block to protect your skin. You can cool off by taking a swim.
Tall lemonade in a glass To quench your thirst when you cut the grass.
They say summer days are lazy. There s no school to drive you crazy.
Days are long and nights are short. Lots of time for playing sports.
Water ski, ride a bike, take a hike. Whatever you like.
Summer is a time for fun. Just don t get too much sun.

Don t know if this is any good to you - not so much seasons as months. I wrote it as an action rhyme for my class to help them memorise the months of the year. Stand to start and try for a chanting rhythm. January, February, March (everyone marches) April, May, go out to play (point out the window) June, July, the sun gets high (one arm goes up and over) August, September, now autumn remember ( wag finger) October, November, then it s December (hand out palm upwards) Hip hip hooray, it s Christmas Day.( everybody jumps up and down and cheers!) My kids seem to like it, and it s certainly helped them to remember the months of the year in order. Quite good for a wee brain break, when they ve been sitting for a bit, or just when you are talking about the date, the change of month etc. Regards Alison |

I love your poem, Alison! I wrote this Autum poem. Fall Fall is chilly and cool. It is when we begin school.
The leaves fall down. The grass turns brown.
The leaves turn from green to yellow, orange, red, and brown.
We play football and and take walks. Summer is over--we have to wear shoes and socks.
Fall is also called autum. Winter will come.
Fall is great for trophy fishing. Also leaf collecting.
Many are wishing that winter would stay away. But then we couldn t sled on Christmas Day.

The North wind doth blow poem The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow, And what will poor robin do then, poor thing? He ll sit in a barn and keep himself warm and hide his head under his wing, poor thing. |

Spring is green,
Summer is bright,
Autumn is yellow,
Winter is white!
You can use this poem in the beginning or as a conclusion :)
