is this sentence correct?

Hello everyone!

I d like to know if this sentence is correct
"He gave me a false name shows that he was doing something wrong."
is the use of the  tenses here  correct?
Thanks.

The tenses look OK but the sentence is wrong. Consider saying:

The fact that he gave me a false name shows that he was doing something wrong.
or
He gave me a false name which shows that he was doing something wrong.

Gi is correct, except for needing a comma before "which". Your sentence (the verb "shows") doesn t have a subject.

Also possible is "His giving me a false name shows ...", Bruce
