I would encourage them to find the English words for the equipment in the gym (maybe before you actually go there) and label each piece of equipment. They could also make short instructions for exercises or short dialogues. you can practice the phrases in the class and then use them there. I �m not sure I �m clear, I hope it helps a bit.
