Dear friends, I ve just created a new section on my website for vocabulary videos created by me.
Take a look at my first video and feel free to use it in your classes. Hugs, Sandra Mendonça (xani) |

Spam??? Dear Peter Hardy, It seems that you forgot to underline another important word... "Those
messages which are considered spam by the administrator will be removed (such
as using the forum with the SOLELY purpose of advertising your
website)." I m doing something that I ve always done here at ESLprintables... I m SHARING my work! The purpose of my message was to let people know about a page where they have free resources which they can use in their classrooms... Is that a bad thing? Fortunately, I had the opportunity to see (considering the feedback I got) that many of those who visited the page apprecited it! My best regards, Sandra Mendona (xani - sharing my work at ESLprintables since 2008)

Dear Sandra, I didn t write the same to your entry as I did to Evelina Maria s(above yours) where I wrote: In case you wonder why some people mark this as spam: because it s against the rules, which states: Those messages which are considered spam by the administrator will be removed (such as using the forum with the solely purpose of advertising your website). I did so as someonemarkedher and your entry as spam. I just wondered why, read the rules (again) and thought I d give a possible explanation. After all, there are those who, as you said, appreciate it, but there are also people who clearly think this is a form of advertising, despite your intention to simply share. After all, there are also such advertisements with the purpose to sell! Some do, some don t and how are we to know? I suppose we don t, and hence the one rule for all. In conclusion, all I wanted to do was share an idea about a possible why. Nothing more, nothing less. Cheers, Peter.

Dear Peter,
Thank you very much for taking the time to send
me this message. I must confess I felt a bit upset and sad when I realized that
my message had been considered spam. This is not the first time I post links to
other sites / activities that I consider interesting and useful to other
teachers and they weren t considered spam… so why was this post identified as
spam? Many people already know my site… they already know it s a site where
most of the resources aren t free… Now I implemented something new and free, so why
not let people know about it? Isn t this the spirit of ESLsprintables? Warm regards from the Azores, Sandra |
