I am now even more confused..
my class book says bow wow and
I´m supposed to be teaching British English.
Anyone out there who can clarify this situation??

´Bow wow ´ is what kiddies say. Other than that, when dogs bark, they say ´Woof. ´
Of course, some dogs can say much more than that....

Agree with Frau Sue. Can I add that ´bow wow ´ is kiddie-speak (what we teach children to say)  and ´woof ´ is what adults say to render the sound a dog makes when it barks.
