I am now even more confused.. my class book says bow wow and Im supposed to be teaching British English. Anyone out there who can clarify this situation?? pretty please :) |

Bow wow is what kiddies say. Other than that, when dogs bark, they say Woof.
Of course, some dogs can say much more than that....

UK English here - I would accept "bow-wow" and "woof" or "woof-woof". |

Agree with Frau Sue. Can I add that bow wow is kiddie-speak (what we teach children to say) and woof is what adults say to render the sound a dog makes when it barks. |
