Hello everyone, I was revising a worksheet when I came across this phrase "suit you" and I wondered: How should we pronounce it? suit you //suːt ju/ or suit you / suːtʃ ju/? When I asked my American friend, she said the 1st one is correct but if we generalize the rule of "would you" becomes /ˈwʊdʒə/, I feel like the second one is also possible (in British accent, maybe?) What do you think? |

Your American friend is right. The second pronunciation comes to mind when you state" It suits you." Cheers, Peter
