Please tell me if I must change "next week" into "the next week" in reported speech.And If the tense in the directed speech is simple past , I can use the simple past in the reported speech.Thanks |

I �d say "the following week" ... and spl past changes to past perfect. |

Is your context something like this? He said, "My aunt is coming next week." He said his aunt was coming next week. ( �the � is not necessary) Could you post your example sentence? |
